OLAPLEX PRO HEALTHY HAIR TRANSFORMATION CONTEST

Official Rules

SKILL CONTEST.  NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

ELIGIBILITY: The OLAPLEX PRO Healthy Hair Transformation Contest (the “Contest”) is open only to licensed hair stylists and cosmetologists in the contiguous 48 United States (plus D.C.) who are at least 21 years of age or older and have used Olaplex products in the past.   Not open to employees, officers, or directors -- or to members of the immediate family or household of any of the foregoing -- of Olaplex Holdings, Inc. (“Sponsor”, “we” or “us”) or any of our parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, or any advertising or promotion agencies involved in this Contest (collectively, the “Contest Entities”). Void where prohibited.  By participating in the Contest, you unconditionally accept and agree to comply with and abide by these Official Rules.

CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest begins at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time on March 14, 2025, and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on March 21, 2025 (the “Contest Period”). The Sponsor’s database computer is the official time-keeping device for this Contest. Proof of submission or online posting is not proof of receipt. 

HOW TO ENTER: During the Contest Period, do the following:

1. Post a carousel of photos or videos on your Instagram account showing your favorite client transformation to healthy hair that you accomplished using Olaplex products.  

2. Include with your carousel:

• • a brief story describing how you achieved the transformation using Olaplex products in the salon and any Olaplex products your client may have used at home; and
  • photos of the Olaplex products you used in the transformation  

Your carousel and story are collectively your “Post.”   

3. Tag @olaplex in your Post.

4. Include all the following hashtags: #olaplex, #olaplexproContest, and #healthyhairOLApros.   All the hashtags must be included for a valid entry.

5. Be sure your Instagram account is set to “public” so that we can  

NOTE:  Instagram accounts are free. Instagram is not a sponsor of, or associated in any way with this Contest. 

Limit five (5) entries per eligible person.  Any attempt to enter more than five (5) times by use of multiple identities, Instagram accounts, or any other means is grounds for disqualification.  All entries must be posted by the end of the Contest Period. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the Instagram account used to make the entry Post.  "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address.   Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, misdirected, technically corrupted or garbled entries, which will be disqualified, or for communications problems of any kind, whether mechanical, human, or electronic. 

REQUIREMENTS OF POST: Your Post must be your original creation, and it must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity.   Your story must be in English.  If any person(s) other than you appear in the Post, you warrant and represent that you have obtained all necessary permissions from such persons and will provide proof of same upon request.  Failure to have such permission is grounds for disqualification.  In addition, your Post may not contain any content that Sponsor reasonably determines:

• is sexually explicit or suggestive; unnecessarily violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group; profane or pornographic; contains nudity;

• promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing); promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous; promotes any particular political agenda or message;

• is obscene or offensive; endorses any form of hate or hate group. 

• defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about other people or companies;

• contains trademarks, logos, or trade dress owned by others, without permission (names and logos of Sponsor are allowed); 

• contains copyrighted materials owned by others (including music, photographs, sculptures, paintings, and other works of art or images published on or in websites, television, movies or other media), without permission;

• communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or good will of Sponsor; 

• depicts any conduct or content that is unsafe, immoral, obscene or otherwise inappropriate as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion; and/or

• violates any law.

PUBLICITY/USAGE RIGHTS: By entering, you agree that Sponsor (and those acting with its authorization) may copy, reproduce, edit, broadcast and otherwise use your Post, in whole or in part, in any way in any medium whether now existing or later discovered, worldwide, in perpetuity, including but not limited to posting online on Sponsor’s social media pages, without consideration to you.  Except where prohibited, participation in the Contest and/or receipt or use of any prize further constitutes the winner’s consent for use of his/her Post, name, likeness, voice, opinions, statements, biographical information, and/or hometown and state for promotional or advertising purposes in any media, worldwide, now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, without further review, notification, payment, or consideration (unless prohibited by law).  

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: A panel of judges will review all eligible Posts giving equal weight to the following criteria: (a) best representation of a beautiful and healthy hair transformation, (b) creativity/originality in photos and story, and (c) quality of photos, to determine a maximum of up to three (3) potential winners. Fewer than three (3) potential winners may be selected in the event insufficient qualified entries are received.   Selected Posts may be re-posted by Sponsor during the Contest, but any such sharing does not affect the judging and does not mean that any of the selected Posts is or is guaranteed to be a potential winner. 

Judges’ decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to the Contest. Potential winners will be notified via direct messaging in Instagram on or about March 31, 2025.  No liability is assumed for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by a potential winner for any reason.  If any potential winner is found to be ineligible, or if he or she has not complied with these Official Rules or declines a prize for any reason prior to award, such potential winner will be disqualified, and an alternate winner may be selected.

Failure to respond to any winner notification within seventy two (72) hours after notification was sent may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Potential winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9, an affidavit of eligibility and liability release and, where permitted, a publicity release, as well as proof of having obtained all necessary publicity rights from any client depicted or otherwise described in the potential winner’s Post.  Entry into this Contest constitutes agreement to sign and provide such documents.  If a potential winner fails to comply with Sponsor’s requests for any such documents, is found to be ineligible, or cannot or does not comply with these Official Rules, he/she may be disqualified and prize may be awarded to an alternate winner.  

PRIZES: Three (3) prizes are available: A trip for the winner (no guest) to attend Premiere Orlando (June 1-2, 2025) and the North American Hairstyling Awards event (“NAHA”) on June 1, 2025 in Orlando. 

Prize consists of: (a) round trip airline transportation (coach class) for winner between major airport in contiguous U.S. nearest winner’s residence and Orlando, Florida, (b) hotel accommodations for two (2) nights at a hotel selected by Sponsor, and (c) admission to NAHA and Premiere Orlando, plus a check for $500.   Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $2,000.  Actual value may vary based on winner’s residence and fluctuations in airline and hotel pricing. 

All transportation, lodging, meals, and other costs and expenses not otherwise identified herein are the responsibility of the winner. Ground transportation may be substituted for air transportation at Sponsor’s sole discretion if winner resides within 200 miles of Orlando.  Any difference between estimated value and actual value will not be awarded. Major credit card will be required at hotel check-in to cover any incidental expenses.  Winner must have all ID and other documents necessary for travel. Travel must to coincide with Premiere Orlando and NAHA as listed above.  If winner cannot travel on specified dates, an alternate winner may be selected.  Event dates are subject to change.  No responsibility is assumed for cancellation or postponement of any prize-related events or activities beyond Sponsor’s control. If any prize-related event is cancelled or postponed after travel arrangements are made, remainder of trip will be awarded as the complete prize.

Prize is non-transferable.  No cash alternative or prize substitution will be allowed, except in Sponsor’s discretion. A substitute of comparable or greater value may be awarded if the prize listed becomes unavailable for any reason.  Winner is responsible for all federal, state and/or local taxes due as a result of accepting any prize. 

Sponsor may conduct a background check to confirm eligibility and compliance with these rules.  By entering, you agree to cooperate reasonably with any such background check.  Failure to cooperate may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.  If a potential winner has engaged in or does engage in any conduct that could damage the reputation or business of Sponsor, as determined by Sponsor in its discretion, the potential winner may be disqualified and the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner, time permitting. Each potential winner and potential guest must also comply with all requirements for proper and appropriate behavior during any prize-related activities or events, including but not limited to NAHA.  Any inappropriate behavior, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, may result in removal from any activity or event.

GENERAL PROVISIONS: You agree that the Contest Entities (a) shall not be responsible or liable for, and are hereby released from, any and all costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including, without limitation, death and bodily injury, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to participation in the Contest or any Contest-related activity, or from acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any prize, and (b) have not made any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to any prize, including, without limitation, to such prize’s quality or fitness for a particular purpose. 

By entering the Contest, you further agree that (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Contest, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; (b) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to reasonable and actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, but in no event attorney's fees; and (c) under no circumstances will you be permitted to obtain any award for, and you hereby waive all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, indirect or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for reasonable and actual out-of-pocket expenses. These rules and any disputes relating hereto are governed by the internal laws of the State of Delaware without regard to principles of conflicts of laws, and by entering, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts in Delaware  for resolution of any disputes relating to the Contest and waive any objection thereto. For New Jersey residents: Nothing herein prohibits recovery of damages or attorneys’ fees where required by statute.

No responsibility is assumed for any damage to your computer system or mobile device which is occasioned by participating in the Contest, or for any computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures, or delays. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, no responsibility is assumed for incomplete, illegible, misdirected, misprinted, forged, tampered with, altered, late, lost, damaged, stolen, or postage-due submissions, prize notifications or other Contest materials, all of which are void; or for lost, interrupted, inaccessible or unavailable networks, servers, satellites, Internet service providers, websites, or other connections; or for miscommunications, failed, jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected computer, telephone or cable transmissions; or for any technical malfunctions, failures, difficulties or other errors of any kind or nature; or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of information, or the failure to capture any information. 

Any individual who is found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest, or to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, may be disqualified, and Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. 

Sponsor reserves the right to modify, extend, suspend, or terminate the Contest, in whole or in part, if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the Contest is technically impaired or corrupted or that fraud or technical problems, failures or malfunctions or other unintended circumstances have impaired the integrity, administration, security, proper play and/or feasibility of the Contest as contemplated herein. If the Contest is terminated before the designated end date, Sponsor will (if possible) select winner(s) from all eligible, non-suspect entries unaffected by the problem.
